Fr. Gerard F. Rafferty, S.S.L. , teaches Sacred Scripture and Hebrew at St. Joseph's Seminary. He is chair of the Scripture Department and holds the John Cardinal O'Connor Distinguished Chair in Hebrew and Scripture. Father is also the Director of Assessment for the Seminary.

In addition to his Seminary responsibilities Father has taught for the Deacon formation program, the Institute of Religious Studies and lectures to parish and Archdiocesan groups. His articles have appeared in the Dunwoodie Review and Jeedvahara: A journal of Christian Interpretation.

On May 13, 2009 he delivered a talk on the Gospel of St. Mark to Resurrection parishioners.
