Outreach

    In response the May 2006 parish survey, the Parish Council established the Resurrection Outreach Committee.  The Committee’s mission is to put our faith into action by sharing our resources with those in need and to promote the Gospel of Jesus Christ through a variety of programs that empower people both spiritually and economically.  The Committee seeks out and supports ways to protect and promote the dignity of life of all people by helping them to receive the basic necessities:  food, clothing, shelter, healthcare and education.

    Seed  money from the 125th Parish Anniversary Fund plus subsequent private donations have allowed the Committee to begin its ministry.  Ongoing donations will guarantee the work will continue and expand. To achieve this goal, the Committee asks Resurrection parishioners to make donations directly to the Resurrection Outreach Committee.   By pooling our donations together, we are able to make a greater impact on problems that can be solved by funding.

The Committee reports regularly to the parish with an accounting of the disbursement of funds.  Projects currently supported under Outreach include
