Dear Parents,
As I move on from Resurrection, I travel with many wonderful memories of a parish community “alive and well” in Rye, N.Y. I thank you for your support of the Parish Religious Education Program (PREP) and for the incredible number of volunteers who have served as catechists, aides, hall monitors, etc. (a number over 300 each year!). It has been my delight to serve as DRE at Resurrection these past five years. I promise that I will keep you in thought and prayer as I move on to Washington, D.C.
It was good to have a chance to say “farewell” at the Mass and social on May 31. I am deeply grateful for both the generosity of the parish’s gift and that of the catechists. My religious community and I continue to appreciate your generous outreach to the RJM Haiti mission and the many needs you have met: educating children, funding a breakfast program for the Restavek children, helping fathers to set up a home front business, digging a well, and providing mosquito nets to prevent malaria.
Let us continue to pray for one another as we walk in the Lord’s Presence each day.
